 Friends of Cuba Library

The Friends of the Cuba Library fund many of the children's activities at the Library as well as supply most of the audio/visual materials available to the public.  At times the Friends help with other needs for the Library such as purchasing book carts and supplying the coffee stand.

Activities sponsored by the Friends include two used book sales, one during Dairy Days in the spring and one in the fall, usually October, the Thanksgiving pie sale in November and our ever popular Wine and Cheese Gala planned in the summer.

The Friends is a non-profit group; contributions to the Library are tax deductible.  You can join the Friends at several monetary levels, from $2 through $200, from student membership up through special friend and friend for life.

The Cuba Friends of the Library would like to express their sincere appreciation to everyone who helped with planning and organizing our annual Wine and Cheese Gala held Friday, August 6, 2010.  Approximately 200 people were in attendance with seven wineries showcasing their wares as well as many delectable hors d’oeuvres brought in by various members of the community.  The evening was a great success and fun was had by all.  The proceeds of this event go to support much of the special programming for both children and adults at the Library.

If you joined the Friends of Cuba Library by June 30, your name was entered in a drawing to win prizes: an Apple iPod Nano, tickets to the Wine and Cheese Gala, and a pass for no late fees for a year at Cuba Library.  Shown below are the winners with their prizes as handed out by Membership Chairman, Megan Cusumano.
